Scheduled Training

First Care Emergency is offering our BLENDED LEARNING.  With this type of learning - you can complete the "classroom" portion of learning at home, the instructor is a phone call away, then schedule an appointment for the hands on skills test.  This will be processed with the covid restrictions in mind.  

First Care Emergency Training offers CPR and First Aid training each month. This training is open to the public. There is no minimum number of people required in each session. The cost of the training is less than those offered by other trainers. Training certifications are good for two years.

Pediatric CPR

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving children and infants.

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children

Standard First Aid 

The First Aid course incorporates the latest science and meets OSHA guidelines. Students learn to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat, and cold emergencies. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a First Aid certificate valid for two years.

Babysitter Training

The recommended age is 11-15 years old.

Sports Safety Training

This course, which was developed by the American Red Cross and the National Federation of State High School Associations, gives students an overview of first aid and “best practices” for many first aid situations encountered by coaches. Students learn skills related to athletic injuries that may also be useful for injuries to officials, fellow coaches, or spectators.

Topics include:

  • Checking an Unconscious Athlete

  • Asthma

  • Sudden Illness

  • Heat-Related Illnesses

  • Wounds

  • Injuries to the Head, Neck, and Spine

  • Psychological and Mental Health Problems

Because CPR and AED require separate training for certification, these topics are not part of this course. Students are encouraged to register for the CPR/AED course as a complement to this course.

Adult and Pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED

The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies.

This also covers how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age—adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric victims (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.

Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector Training

This course will teach you the signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis and how to care for a person having a severe allergic reaction, including how to administer epinephrine using an auto-injector device. The course, which includes video, activities that reinforce key information and a learning assessment, will take approximately 30 minutes to one hour to complete.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Training

Breathing new life into resuscitation education, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is designed to train professionals to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies for adult, child, and infant victims. Consistent with the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC, BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals.

 

Through the use of lecture, skills demonstration and practice, case-based emergency response scenarios, and reflection and debriefing activities with a focus on team-based response, BLS builds the key critical thinking, problem-solving, and team dynamic skills that are needed to drive better patient outcomes.

 

Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year “Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers” digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to certificate and training history. NOTE: A VALID EMAIL IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION WITH HYPERLINKS TO DO THE ONLINE PORTION OF THE CLASS AND FOR YOUR DIGITAL CERTIFICATION. Blended Learning CPR and First Aid

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants. It meets OSHA/workplace requirements.

 

The online portion of this blended course features award-winning simulation learning—an interactive experience where you will respond to real-world emergencies in a virtual setting—which will prepare you for the instructor-led classroom skill session. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken using a PC or tablet with a high-speed Internet connection.

 

Allow 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete the online portion if you are new to First Aid/CPR/AED training or 55 minutes if you have previously received certification. Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
